As part of our commitment to making school and college leadership more diverse, ASCL provides support for individual leaders through our DEIB communities, as well as resources for those who will be
allies and guidance for members who seek to work
flexibly.
The DEIB professional leadership communities, focused on ethnic diversity, LGBTQIA+, neuroinclusive, and women leaders, offer a safe space for members in these groups to support and empower each other, and to raise awareness of issues particularly affecting these groups. All our communities' sessions are underpinned by our values of
curiosity, kindness, integrity and
courage.
Creating a more diverse leadership is a responsibility for every ASCL member, and the resources we are collating around allyship are intended to challenge members to reflect on beliefs and practices, and to become advocates and champions for diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in the workplace.
