“After a long three-year wait, we welcome the offer outlined by the Education Minister today. For too long there has been a disparity in pay between Northern Ireland and the rest of the UK. If accepted, this offer represents significant progress in paying our teachers and school leaders what they deserve for the essential work they do. It will also bring an end to industrial action and enable our school leaders, teachers and the wider system to get on with what they really want to do - supporting our children and young people to fulfil their full potential.”
