
Marketing Coordinator
Location: Leicester/Hybrid.
Contract: Full-time. Permanent.
Starting salary: £28,028 (Grade 4, point 22)
The Association of School and College Leaders (ASCL) is looking for a Marketing Coordinator to support membership recruitment, retention, and promote professional development events and conferences through targeted marketing activity.
Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you will use the Customer Relationship Management system (CRM) to segment data and deliver email communications, create engaging content, and monitor campaign performance. An important part of this role is the ability to utilise Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) techniques to drive traffic to the ASCL website and the Content Management System (CMS) to create and place content on the website. You will also work with the Online Editor to take ownership and build an audience on specified social media platforms.
This role will suit candidates who are comfortable and precise when working with data and online platforms, as well as being creative, and solution focused. You will be part of a team of communication and marketing specialists who oversee all ASCL’s communication channels. This role is Leicester-based hybrid working with at least two days in our Leicester HQ each week, and other days as required. It involves attending ASCL events and other external events, including overnight stays.

Field Officer
Homebased with easy access to the North of England and Midlands.
Fixed term (Until 31 December 2026) initially.
Full/Part-time
For this role, we are open to discussing the possibility of part-time working (minimum 0.6FTE/3 days per week for the right candidate).
Starting salary £67,056 (£40,234 pro rata 0.6FTE).

Who we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone who brings credibility, empathy, and insight - someone who has walked in the shoes of our members.
This is a role that requires up-to-date knowledge and experience of the issues facing the senior leadership teams of schools and colleges and the ability to deal with individuals at a senior level. Therefore, you should have held a senior leadership position within schools or colleges within the last two years. Business/HR leaders with extensive schools and employment rights experience, or leaders at or above deputy headteacher level or equivalent, will be best suited to this post.
What you’ll be doing
For this post, the postholder must live within easy access of the region that they serve. The postholder will work predominantly from home, with occasional travel within the region to meet with members and employers. There will be regular contact with, and visits to, ASCL HQ in Leicester plus regular professional development sessions. IT and telephone equipment will be provided.
