We recognise that life expectancy can be a useful indicative tool in predicting future demographic shifts, but we do not believe that it should be the determining factor in deciding what the state pension age is.  Using the ONS life expectancy data alone would exclude vital factors like health and wellbeing, geographical variances or workforce and pension poverty statistics.
