Michael McAuley, Director of ASCL Northern Ireland, comments on today’s GCSE and other level 2 results.
“I want to congratulate all students receiving results today. These outcomes reflect a commitment to their studies over the last two years, and the dedication of their teachers and school leaders who have worked tirelessly to get them to this point. I also want to acknowledge the unwavering support and guidance offered by their parents and carers throughout.
“Some students may be disappointed with their results or be unsure about what is best for them as they prepare to progress to the next stage of their journey. If so, our advice is to speak to your school in the first instance. There are a range of options available to you and your teachers will be best placed to help you with your decision.
“On behalf of ASCL, I extend my best wishes to all young people whether they are choosing to remain at school, enrolling with a further education college or training provider, or moving directly into employment.”
