Claire Armitstead, Director of the Association of School and College Leaders (ASCL) Cymru, comments on today’s publication of level 3 results in Wales.
“Today marks a long-awaited and understandably nerve-racking day for level 3 qualification candidates across Wales, with more than 30,000 students receiving their results.
“I would like to offer my warmest congratulations to every student on their achievements. These results reflect years of hard work, commitment and perseverance throughout their secondary and further education and represent an important milestone as they consider their next steps.
“I am sure students will also want to thank their families, friends and teachers for the encouragement, guidance and support they have provided along the way. Success is rarely achieved alone, and today is an opportunity to recognise the contribution of everyone who has helped students reach this point.
“Schools and colleges across Wales will also have been eagerly awaiting results this week. The dedication, professionalism and tireless efforts of staff play a vital role in enabling young people to succeed and fulfil their potential. Their commitment continues to make a real difference to the lives of learners across Wales.
“Finally, I would like to wish all students every success and happiness in the next stage of their journey, whether that involves higher education, training, apprenticeships or employment. Whatever path they choose, they should be proud of what they have achieved today and look forward to the opportunities that lie ahead.”
