Teachers' pension employer contribution grant (TPECG) 2024

Mainstream schools 5-16, high needs and local authorities
The DfE has published guidance on how this funding will be allocated in the 2024 to 2025 financial year. This funding will be allocated through the teachers’ pension employer contribution grant (TPECG) 2024. More details about rates, eligibility and conditions of grant  can be found here.

A ready reckoner for mainstream school and academy leaders to estimate what their TPECG 24 allocation will be for the 2024 to 2025 financial year, is available here.

We expect actual allocations to be available in the spring. We would suggest mainstream schools use the ready reckoner to test the likely adequacy of the grant, and to support budget planning ahead of allocations being made. We would welcome your feedback on the adequacy of the grant, please use the TellUs@ascl.org.uk inbox to report your findings.

Early years and 16-19
Early years,16 to 19 education and further education settings will also receive additional funding. For early years settings, funding is already included in published core rates for 2024 to 2025.

For 16 to 19 education and further education settings, additional funding will be distributed through existing teachers’ pension employer contribution grants.
