Being a Head: Prepare, survive and thrive in early headship

A toolkit coaching programme designed for leaders who want to develop the skills of running a school.

Learning and reflecting at the start of headship with the support of a coach is an excellent investment. ASCL offers a complete tailor-made coaching programme for leaders moving into headship, and which can be built around an individual's needs. This programme is suitable for all phases in education.

In the context of stepping up and running a school, the important behaviours of being a head are:

This flexible coaching programme can be online or in person, and gives the opportunity for an individual to ask questions, talk and share experiences in a safe environment.
