Leading On - Moving to an International School

This webinar covers everything you need to know when making the decision to move to work from the UK to an international school.

It will be hosted by Tiffnie Harris,  ASCL Primary and Data Specialist who spent some time during her career working for British Forces Overseas, and led by Sajid Gulzar who last year made the decision to move with his family to Kings' School, Dubai, leaving behind his position as CEO of Prince Albert Community Trust after more than 26 years serving children across Birmingham.

Sajid will talk through his own professional journey and outline the important areas to consider when making the significant decision to work overseas. He will also share why this felt like the right time for him and when he knew it was the right time to move – and how he swapped an office with a view of the suburbs of Birmingham for one of a camel farm!

Key outcomes:
  • Know what experience is needed and when feels like the right time to apply.
  • How to apply: what to include in a successful application.
  • What checks, certificates and paperwork are required.
  • What to expect from a salary and other financial factors to consider.
  • How to ensure your CPD stays up to date.
  • What happens when and if you decide to return to the UK?
  • How to ensure your family feel supported and included in the whole process.
*PLEASE NOTE: This is a pre-recorded session and for purchasing resources only*
