Embedding a positive climate for learning

Every school and college leader strives to provide the very best student support as part of an effective pastoral system. However, with ever-tightening budgets and the demands of accountability and progress measures, how can schools and colleges ensure that any barriers to learning are minimised, and students receive the support they need to thrive?

ASCL’s Conference for Pastoral Leaders 2018 provides you with strategies and ideas to take back to your school or college, and will help you embed a positive climate for learning for all students.

Through a combination of keynotes and practical workshop sessions led by sector experts, the conference will focus on themes including:

  • accountability and Inspection

  • mental health

  • safeguarding

  • social media

  • behaviour

  • inclusion

Suitable for leaders and colleagues with specific responsibility for pastoral support in schools and colleges.
