Leading for Outstanding Staff Wellbeing

09:00 - 16:00, 5 December 2017 Leeds

"A real 'practice-changer'. Made me reflect on my behaviour and take a step back. One of the most powerful courses I have been on."
(Past delegate)

With school budgets under pressure, recruitment challenges, and the need to do more with less, staff wellbeing is a key priority.

Drawing on evidence, this one-day course will enable leaders to understand what has the biggest impact on staff wellbeing, and where energies are best focused to improve outcomes and benefits for staff and students.

Delegates will consider:

  • what is wellbeing, and the evidence behind why acting now will improve student outcomes and school results

  • the six main risks for workplace stress and lower wellbeing in schools

  • how to effectively measure current staff wellbeing, and use the results to create a collaborative, whole-staff solution

  • how to assist other senior leaders self-assess their own behaviours and competencies for their personal development

  • setting effective wellbeing goals and prioritising for maximum impact

  • ensuring action is ongoing action as part of your school development plan to deliver sustainable improvements, not quick fixes!

Suitable for senior leaders from all types of schools and colleges, and those interested in leading and implementing long-term and sustainable improvements in staff wellbeing across a whole school or multi-academy trust.

"I found the whole day extremely useful – so many helpful insights from Mark and fellow delegates. I am going away with a clear focus for going back to school and making a difference to staff wellbeing." (Past delegate)
