GDPR comes into force in May 2018, however, action can be taken now to ensure your school or college is fully prepared for the new legislation.

These half-day interactive seminars, run in conjunction with our premier partners Browne Jacobson, provide a comprehensive overview of the impact of GDPR on schools and colleges, as well as setting out the steps school and college leaders should take now to prepare for GDPR.

Participants will:

  • understand the immediate impact of GDPR on their setting

  • gain practical advice on how to carry out a data audit and leave with a data audit mapping tool

  • gain clarity on the role of the data protection officer (DPO) and help you decide who is best placed to undertake this in your setting

  • understand the new approach to personal data and subject access requests

  • explore the steps required to achieve compliance

This seminar is suitable for executive headteachers, headteachers, principals, deputy headteachers, vice principals, assistant headteachers, assistant principals, business leaders, and aspiring leaders.
