FutureEd Conference 2018: Maximising the Potential of the Adolescent Brain

#FutureEd18 TwitterBuilding on the success of FutureEd™ 2017, this summit will again bring together teachers, school leaders, researchers and practitioners to explore ways in which evidence about how we learn can be used more effectively to improve educational practice. In particular, it will draw on research into the adolescent brain and explore how we can help our young people maximise their potential.

The summit includes presentations from researchers and practitioners, together with facilitated, round-table discussions tackling key issues affecting young people and education today.

"Adolescence is a time of opportunity for learning new skills and forging an adult identity... The research on the brain basis of social development in adolescence might have implications for “when to teach what” and could inform both curriculum design and teaching practice with the aim of ensuring that classroom activities exploit periods of neural plasticity that facilitate maximal learning."
