A whole school approach to mental health and wellbeing with The Self Esteem Team

08:30 - 16:00, 28 November 2017 Manchester Book now

Creating a school or college environment conducive to good mental health isn’t always easy, particularly as no individual is the same.

ASCL is delighted to be working alongside Nadia and Grace of The Self-Esteem Team in this new, one-day seminar, helping school and college leaders identify ways to build an environment where the wellbeing of students and staff is at its heart.

Working with students, teachers, parents, and mental health experts, The Self-Esteem Team translate this experience into learning objectives that are both attainable and fun.

Delegates have a unique and invaluable opportunity to find out first-hand from Nadia and Grace how to create cultures which facilitate good mental health for both staff and students, as well as cost-effective solutions that encourage a whole school approach to issues such as self-esteem, body image, depression, anxiety, and stress.

Assisted by ASCL’s Inclusion Specialist Anna Cole, delegates will:

gain an understanding of the policy landscape as well as the ‘big’ issues

understand how to develop an evidence-based, strategic approach to designing and embedding a whole school plan with manageable and deliverable actions

find out what tools are available to help schools and colleges and see practical examples of how these tools can enhance current processes – from CPD to annual plans and governor development

Suitable for all senior leaders in schools and colleges.
