Leading On - Community and the ‘Civic’ role of schools

This webinar will look at the role that schools play in the wider community.

Covid-19 required and enabled schools to play a crucial community and civic role at a time of national and international crisis.

Trust and school leaders played significant roles in leading, supporting and meeting their community needs for care, food, learning and many other emotional and social needs.

Schools are regularly identified as one of the most trusted institutions in society.

This session will explore and discuss how we might consider the role of schools and their leaders in leading and serving communities into the future.

The session will also touch on some global social issues such as the Black Lives Matter movement, issues of trust and confidence, changes to the workplace, higher education, and environmental concerns which all relate to what and how we teach in schools.

If you cannot attend live you will receive a copy of the recording, links to any resources discussed, and the opportunity to submit questions.
