Leading On - Technical and Vocational Higher Education: Opportunities for growth

The webinar will set out the vision for the Government’s white paper Skills for Jobs: Lifelong Learning for Opportunity and Growth in level 4 and 5 technical and vocational higher education, which will be funded in the same way as four-year degree courses from 2024.

We will outline the white paper ambitions for technical and vocational qualifications and set this in the context of current and future growth needed.

Technical and vocational higher education numbers have been relatively low in recent years and tend to be in specialist subjects. If the Government’s vision to grow this type of provision is to be realised, there needs to be a culture change in the way this type of provision is perceived.

This webinar will look at possible growth models and suggest ways forward for level 4 and 5 technical and vocational qualifications.
