Young Carers in Schools

26 February 2016

Young Carers in Schools is a free initiative to help primary and secondary schools to increase identification, improve outcomes and gain recognition for good practice through the Young Carers in Schools Award.

Run jointly by Carers Trust and The Children’s Society Young Carers in Focus partners, the programme has been developed with teachers and school staff and offers an extensive range of free support including guidance and practical tools, webinars and professional development events. Through a termly e-newsletter, you can access key insights into what others are doing to overcome common challenges, and keep up to date with outstanding practice.

For further information and to find out about the five key steps to getting involved visit the Young Carers in Schools website.
