Teacher focus groups for reformed GCSEs and A levels

02 March 2016

Ofqual is seeking teachers’ views on how prepared they feel for teaching the new qualifications for GCSE and A levels. To do this they are holding a series of two-hour, twilight seminars around Easter and they are inviting teachers from all types of schools to attend.

The discussion will focus on how you choose specifications and resources; how important the timing of accreditation is; how far you understand the changes that have been made and how you access support and training. Teachers will have the opportunity to share their opinion on anything that influences how ready they are for the new qualifications. Views will be shared with the DfE and with exam boards.

Ofqual is looking to hold the sessions in schools, so if you have suitable facilities for a group of up to 20 people, please get in touch. Email lucy.rimmington@ofqual.gov.uk for further details on attending or hosting. Participants will be reimbursed for their time.
