New study into teachers' motivation and wellbeing

12 June 2018

The University of Stirling is calling on teachers to complete a survey that will help inform a new study aiming to understand factors relevant to teachers’ enjoyment of work, response to pressures and possible disengagement from work.

The research is investigating teachers’ motivation, metacognition, strategy use and wellbeing, with the aim of using the findings to inform future efforts to address those factors which most impact on teacher wellbeing and student achievement.

In order to be able to make comparisons between people at different stages of their career in education, the university is keen to hear from staff at all levels including leadership and support staff, as well as teachers and student teachers.

Please help by completing this survey. The deadline for responses is 30 June.

As a token of the university’s appreciation for your time, all participants will be eligible for a draw to win a £50 gift voucher for themselves and a £50 voucher for their selected academic institution. Thank you for your time to help with this research.
