New deal to help schools save cash on computer equipment - 2017

19 September 2017

The DfE has launched the second in a series of aggregated procurements for schools considering buying new tablets, laptops or desktop devices. Schools buying devices could save thousands of pounds by taking advantage of a deal developed by the DfE and Crown Commercial Services (CCS).

To take part, schools need to submit their requirements for new devices to CCS at by 6 October 2017. A webinar explains the process in more detail.

CCS then work with suppliers to get the best price and notify schools after the contract is awarded on 10 November 2017. Schools can then place their orders at the agreed price in time for summer delivery.

Future procurements are scheduled for autumn 2017 and spring 2018, with actual procurement dates to be announced later. Find out more about the scheme here.
