Governors are meant to be the strategic decision makers for their schools. However, there is a lack of clarity around what this means. Researchers at Cambridge University want to understand the views of headteachers and chairs of governors of standalone schools on: how should governing bodies influence strategy? And how do governing bodies influence strategy?
