Lyfta is a subscription-based digital platform where teachers and pupils can access stunning immersive stories and curriculum-based lesson and assembly plans. Lyfta's learning experiences are ideal for teaching literacy, PSHE, SMSC, global citizenship and art, as well as fostering values and skills such as empathy, self-direction and critical thinking. It is designed to support teachers in tackling complex themes and to introduce different global phenomena to the classroom. Its mission is to have an immersive story from every single country in the world by 2020, accessible to a global audience. There are over 300 schools in England which use Lyfta, from across primary, secondary, special and alternative provision settings.
The British Council is funding schools to take part in free training on global learning, and also to take up subscription of Lyfta for three years for the cost of one year, at just £100 per teacher.
