The DfE and National College for Teaching and Leadership (NCTL) is hosting a series of information events for schools and other organisations interested in applying for accreditation to deliver one or more of the new National Professional Qualifications (NPQs).
This new suite of qualifications will support the professional development of aspirant and serving leaders at all levels of leadership – from teachers aspiring to a middle leadership role to executive headteachers and MAT CEOs leading groups of schools.
Applications are sought from schools and other organisations who wish to start delivering one or more of the new qualifications in the 2017/18 academic year. To support this, the DfE and NCTL will be hosting a series of provider information events across the country:
Manchester (7 February)
London (8 February)
Darlington (9 February)
Sheffield (10 February)
Bristol (14 February)
These events will give potential providers the opportunity to learn more about the new approach to the qualifications, the provider accreditation process, and the significant opportunities that accreditation will offer to drive leadership development across the system.
