A level and GCSE Results 2017

With the first awarding of the 9-1 grades for the reformed English language, English literature and maths GCSEs due in summer 2017, ASCL's Curriculum and Assessment Specialist Suzanne O'Farrell along with ASCL member David Blow have produced four information papers containing likely FAQs to assist school leaders, teachers, parents and pupils about this summer's results.

David has also prepared technical guidance which models likely outcomes for the reformed GCSE English and maths examinations.

ASCL's Head of Public Relations, Richard Bettsworth, has also produced guidance for school and college leaders to provide further support when dealing with the media.

The GCSE Factsheet provides a simple outline of the new GCSEs which you may wish to share when dealing with queries.

ASCL members can also access our guidance paper A Levels, AS Levels and GCSEs 2017: Requesting reviews of marking and making appeals
