A practical, highly intensive and supportive course that mirrors the deputy headship application process. Participants are treated as candidates for interview and will experience the full selection process as if applying for a real deputy headship post.
Through a series of panels, workshops and one-to-one sessions, participants will develop:

  • an understanding of the knowledge, skills and attributes required to be a deputy head in a 21st century school or college

  • an understanding of the processes involved in selecting a deputy head 

  • increased awareness of current educational initiatives in a range of contrasting schools and colleges

  • enhanced knowledge of the skills required throughout the application process, from application letter to interview and presentation.

Led by a team of experienced practitioners and education consultants, this course has been running for over 20 years with consistently outstanding evaluations.
