Join our webinar – ‘The Transition Conversation – ideas for supporting Year 6 to Year 7 transition’ – taking place on Tuesday 21 June, 11am – 12pm hosted by Tiffnie Harris, ASCL Primary Specialist.

According to a new YouGov poll commissioned by GL Assessment:
  • 8 in 10 teachers are concerned that incoming Year 7s will be unprepared for secondary school
  • 7 in 10 schools are implementing a range of measures to support transitioning students
  • There is particular concern over children’s basic classroom skills (cited by 60% of teachers), behaviour (54%) and reading and literacy (52%)
The webinar is designed to be informative and interactive, covering a range of topics related to transition and a chance for discussion and Q&A. We hope it will provide you with practical ideas and strategies for the term ahead, with a particular focus on successful primary and secondary collaboration, the effective use of data, and how other schools are preparing for the year ahead.

Hosted in partnership with our Premier Partner, GL Assessment, our guest speakers include:
  • Mary Randolph and Janice Bluett-Duncan from Right to Succeed
  • Vicky Merrick, Trust Lead - Assessment, Exams and Progression at Archway Learning Trust
  • Helen Robinson, Head of Assessment Insights and Training at GL Assessment
