The ASCL Ethnic Diversity Network (previously the ASCL BAME Leaders' Network) is just one branch, along with the LGBT+ and Women Leaders' Networks that have emerged a result of ASCL’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Plan.
The purpose of the group is to come together to discuss how we can bring about structural changes across the education sector. We want to consider the issues faced by BAME leaders and provide support and solutions.
We believe coaching and mentoring are highly effective strategies. If you would like to get in touch with any of the leaders who have kindly offered to act as coaches and mentors, please contact them via the email link in their bios detailed below.
The network group is a highly collaborative and supportive group and we would strongly encourage you to join us.
We were delighted to welcome Nadine Bernard, Headteacher, Van Gogh Primary and CEO, Aspiring Heads to our meeting on 20 October as guest speaker.
