Events for School and College Leaders in Northern Ireland

Leading On webinars: Northern Ireland
As a result of member feedback, we have developed a series of online webinars specifically for colleagues working in Northern Ireland.

Running from April to June 2024, the webinars will provide insight and advice together with ideas and examples which can be used within different contexts. There will also be opportunities to ask questions relevant to your own setting and situation.

Schools can purchase a licence for only £125 plus VAT, which will give access for members of their team to all the planned webinars – this is open to everyone, not just members of ASCL. These sessions will feature a mix of live and pre-recorded webinars, and the cost includes access to all resources and recordings which will be available until October 2024.

To find out more, please register for our complimentary session on Thursday 25 April which will be delivered by John Trueman, ASCL NI Director alongside Pepe Di’Iasio, ASCL General Secretary, and Victor Coert, ASCL NI Past President.

Branch training event
Our annual branch training event will be held on Wednesday 29 May in the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Shaw’s Bridge. This is a free event for members and represents a great opportunity to stay up to date with the key issues in education in Northern Ireland.

ASCL specialist Rob Robson will deliver a session on AI as a taster for our own AI Roadshow in the autumn term, there will be updates from the ETI on their new inspection framework, the CCEA will provide an overview of the summer series and an insight into awarding, and the Equality Commission will be attending to deliver training on the recruitment of teaching staff.

If you would like to attend, please contact John Trueman. Please also encourage members of your team to attend.
