New DfE teacher recruitment service

April 2019

The DfE has launched a free web service, Teaching Vacancies, for schools to advertise their vacancies. Schools can use the website to advertise full-time, part-time and job-share roles. The website has been launched to help schools to cut down their costs on recruitment advertising – see this press release for more information.

The DfE has sent all schools within scope, a letter inviting them to register to use the service. Teaching Vacancies is now being used by over 38% of schools in England and over 5,000 jobs have been listed since launching.
