New resources to help teach about periods

April 2019

This week, period poverty social enterprise Hey Girls launches new resources to help teach periods with confidence. Flexible, curriculum-linked lesson plans are free to download, complemented by a pack of 50 conversation starter cards.

Developed in partnership with schools, Hey Girls hopes ‘My Period’ will help teachers start what can be an awkward conversation. They are calling on secondary schools to create positive spaces for young people of all genders to explore menstruation-busting myths and dismantling taboos. With calls for free period products in all schools later this year, this is the perfect moment to get the conversation going.
