Digital Skills Programme

June 2019

A new digital skills programme is being made available to secondary schools across the UK to improve young people’s understanding of tech, build their digital skills and encourage them to explore a future career in technology.

The ‘Digital Creators’ Challenge’ will invite young people aged 11-14 years to work together to design an app to improve lives in their local community, with the chance to win up to £6,000 to spend on IT equipment.

Schools and community groups are invited to register their interest here. The programme will run between September 2019 and January 2020, with the winning submission announced in March 2020.
