KS4 transition matrices tools with 2019 and with 2018 national figures

The powerful subject value-added (VA) grid (see Toolkit files below) combines DfE transition matrices (TMs) with the pupil-level datafile produced for each school by the DfE for the exam result data-checking exercise each October.  

At a glance (using the familiar RAISE convention of green = 'good' / blue = 'under'), you can see for each of the main GCSE subjects how your school has performed against national by each KS2 sub-level. This grid format facilitates a detailed discussion, which can look at varying input abilities and output grades, for example.

These two spreadsheets can be used to calculate the subject VA for 2018 and 2019 for the 2020 exam grading process.
