Who's who of ASCL

The greatest strength of the association is that it is run by members for members. The policy making body, ASCL Council, is made up of elected representatives who meet four times a year. The ratio of Council representatives to members is more generous in ASCL than in any other teacher associations. We are proud of this democratic base - it is fundamental to our continuing success and effectiveness.

ASCL is led by a presidential trio - president, vice-president and immediate past president who serve a one-year term in each post - and a permanent general secretary and deputy general secretaries who are supported by a small but effective headquarters staff. ASCL also has an Executive Committee made up of the senior offcers, presidential trio, Council offcers and committee chairs.
