Partner Ghana

ASCL and the Sabre Charitable Trust are working together to support Partner Ghana, a programme of educational partnerships between UK and Ghanaian secondary schools.

By linking up schools in Ghana with partner schools in the UK, the Partner Ghana programme aims to facilitate educational exchanges between students and teachers in both countries for the mutual benefit of both schools. These partnerships can bring a new dimension to lessons and extra-curricular activities as both sets of students learn about each other's cultures and lives, sharing experiences and advancing their education.

The programme includes:

  • a partner selection process to carefully match schools
  • a wide range of support including face-to-face, email and telephone contact from dedicated Partner Ghana staff
  • curricular resources designed to match both countries' curricula
  • training sessions
  • comprehensive support for teacher and student visits
  • student expeditions are a key focus of the scheme and Partner Ghana can now offer fully supported, great value expeditions at up to 30% cheaper than commercial providers. The Sabre Trust is the in-country partner for several expedition providers (including World Challenge) and as such offers the same standards of safety, backup and support.
