Allyship

According to Diverse Educators, an ally is any person that actively promotes and aspires to advance the culture of inclusion through intentional, positive and conscious efforts that benefit people as a whole. An ally advocates and champions for marginalised colleagues in the workplace. Diverse Educations have produced an inclusive allyship toolkit, available here

ASCL believes that becoming an ally means identifying your bias, working to address gaps in your knowledge and learning from your mistakes.
